The Purple Carrot Market will be forming a book study group on the book Grocery Story: The Promise of Food Co-ops in the Age of Grocery Giants by Jon Steinman.
Through penetrating analysis and inspiring stories and examples of American and Canadian food co-ops, Grocery Story makes a compelling case for the transformation of the grocery store aisles as the emerging frontier in the local and good food movements. If you would like to be a part of this book study, sign up below. The cost to buy a book is $10. We will have a few extra on hand for those who would like to borrow a copy. We will meet in person on May 2nd at 6:00 pm to discuss the book. Location of the discussion is the Purple Carrot Market office in the Victor Mall at 53 E Broadway in Little Falls. Let's break down everything you need to know before you dig into the wonderful world of gardening. Join us for a Q & A virtual workshop lead by Morrison County Master Gardeners Jerry Wenzel (owners #168) and Pat Lytwyn (owner #522). This Q & A is open to everyone from novice through veteran gardeners.
We need your valuable input as an owner and future customer. As we continue to get closer and closer to making our vision of a community owned grocery store a reality, these numbers become important for updating the finance and business plans.
