Did you know Reality Roasted created a Purple Carrot Market coffee roast just for us? Well they did, and Reality Roasters is willing to freshly roast some up just in time for the Breakfast with the Co-op. The coffee is a medium roast from a single origin in Guatemala. You can pick up your order and pay at the Breakfast with the Co-op. Deadline to order is Friday, April 21st. Experience the best organic, fair trade, and gourmet coffee ever! The Purple Carrot Market will be forming a book study group on the book Grocery Story: The Promise of Food Co-ops in the Age of Grocery Giants by Jon Steinman.
Through penetrating analysis and inspiring stories and examples of American and Canadian food co-ops, Grocery Story makes a compelling case for the transformation of the grocery store aisles as the emerging frontier in the local and good food movements. If you would like to be a part of this book study, sign up below. The cost to buy a book is $10. We will have a few extra on hand for those who would like to borrow a copy. We will meet in person on May 2nd at 6:00 pm to discuss the book. Location of the discussion is the Purple Carrot Market office in the Victor Mall at 53 E Broadway in Little Falls.
