Calling All Sewers! All co-ops no matter if they're a food co-op, electric, agricultural, or credit unions follow the same 7 Cooperative Principles. The last Principle is Concern for Community. The Purple Carrot Market is teaming up with Oasis of Morrison County for our next Concern for Community project. We will be Sewing for Our Neighbors traveling items including reusable utensil rolls with cloth napkins, toothbrush travel cases and laundry bags. All three are at a beginners level. We will have experienced sewers there to instruct. The only things you will need is your own sewing machine and thread. *Victor Mall Building *Monday, February 27th *9 am - 1pm (coffee and rolls); 6 pm - 9 pm (snack foods) If you would like to make a donations instead, we are looking for the following items: silverware, sample size toiletry including toothbrushes and razors. There will be a box for donations by the Purple Carrot Market office at the Victor Mall, 53 E. Broadway in Little Falls.

The Purple Carrot Market is seeking to hire a part-time Project Manager for the Purple Carrot Market. Back in November, the Little Falls Local Food Collaborative, which includes the Purple Carrot Market, got word that $233k was awarded through the USDA NIFA Grant that we applied for with Sprout MN and the Little Falls Farmer's Market. Part of this money will be used to hire a part-time Project Manager. This position will start approximately March 1st 2023 and go through October 31st 2024. Live from the Sprout kitchen, Ashley Uphoff from The Bluffs will be creating a bold flavor one-pot pork chop meal for Valentine's Day that is surprisingly easy to make in just a few steps using their fresh off the farm pork. Not only is this dish comforting and delicious, but it will fill your home with a wonderful French aroma.
  We will be holding informational sessions about the Purple Carrot Market throughout the winter. January's informational session was held in conjunction with the Beeswax Wraps class. Our February informational session "Roll & Stroll In" will take place at the Little Falls Bakery and Deli. This will be informal so pop in anytime between the designated time and ask a board member any questions you have about the Purple Carrot Market, you can even join on the spot. Enjoy coffee and a roll while chatting with us. It's on us!
