Arlene Jones (SproutMN), Susy Prosapio (Purple Carrot Market Food Co-op), and Birdie Pederson (Little Falls Farmers Market), recently announced a $233K grant award and their collaborative efforts to make local foods and nutrition education accessible to the Little Falls Community and its surrounding regions.

The good news is Purple Carrot Market and First United Church collected 617 items total putting us well over the 500 items needed for the extra $500 in Thrivent money. The great news is Thrivent doubled the money from $500 to $1,000. The Morrison County Food Shelf will get the 617 items collected plus $1,000 to help stock their shelves for our friends and neighbors. Thank you, Pastor Tony, for partnering with us on this challenge. We are encouraging owners to purchase a gift ownership for that hard to buy someone or that person who seems to have it all. You will receive a special Purple Carrot Market gift ownership card to give. When you do, the sender and receiver will both get their names in a drawing for a holiday gift basket valued at $40. This Holiday Gift Ownership Promotion starts today and goes until December 31st.
