Tom and Jenni Smude, owners of Smude's Sunflower Oil and Smude's Angus Farm has graciously offered to host a tour of their oil and beef farming operation. We will start the tour at the sunflower oil processing location at 500 Centennial Drive in Pierz where we will learn how they transform sunflower seeds to oil. We will then have the opportunity to shop at their store where you'll be able to purchase their popcorn, sunflower oil and black angus meat (a cooler will be available). Next, we'll travel 2 miles by car to tour their black angus cattle farm located at 25804 173rd Street in Pierz. We'll end the tour at the cattle farm enjoying freshly, grilled Smude brats, a bag of chips and a bottle of water for $5.00 (pay on the spot). This is open to owners and non-owners alike so invite others to join the tour. There is no limit to how many can be on the tour. You must sign up so we know how many to plan for. Sign up deadline is Friday, June 9th.
