Smude Farms Tour

Smude Farms in Pierz, business owners #718 of the Purple Carrot Market, has graciously agreed to give a tour of their farming operation to our owners. Tom and Jenni Smude are the proud owners of Smude Sunflower Oil. Their farm is home to 150 acres of sunflowers every year. In addition to sunflowers, Tom raises a herd of approximately 100 pairs of beef cattle. 

We will start the tour at the sunflower oil processing plant. Secondly, we will stop and shop at their store where you'll be able to buy popcorn, sunflower oil and their meat.  Then we will travel 2 miles by car to get to their cattle farm. We will end the tour with freshly grilled Smude Farm brats. Look for more information in the June Newsletter.
